<\/p>\nThe Executive Director of the Montenegrin Electricity Distribution System (CEDIS), Vladimir Ivanovi\u0107, presented awards to educational institutions that stood out with their projects as part of the \u201cEnergy Underlined in Green\u201d competition. This is the fourth consecutive year that CEDIS has implemented the project in cooperation with the Bureau for Education.<\/p>\n

Executive Director Vladimir Ivanovi\u0107 noted that the \u201cEnergy Underlined in Green\u201d project aims to raise awareness among students, teachers and the wider community about the importance of environmental protection.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe aim of the project is to encourage students, teachers and the entire community to actively engage in protecting the environment. We believe that young people have the power to change the world around them, and that projects such as this can help strengthen awareness of sustainable development. The \u2018Energy Underlined in Green\u2019 competition is not only an opportunity to reward the best, but also a call for all young people to understand from an early age how important it is to protect our planet for future generations. Through education and joint efforts, we can lay the foundations for a better and greener future, and young people have a key role to play in this mission,\u201d Ivanovi\u0107 said.<\/p>\n
The first prize in the competition went to the \u201cSort and Save\u201d project, prepared by the \u201cMirko Srzenti\u0107\u201d Primary School in Petrovac. Second place went to the \u201cFurniture Made from Recycled Materials for Children\u2019s Physical Activities\u201d project, submitted by the \u201cLjubica V. Jovanovi\u0107 \u2013 Ma\u0161e\u201d Public Preschool Institution in Budva. Third place went to the \u201cCompost for the Future \u2013 Little Environmentalists of the Ma\u0161a Kindergarten\u201d project, implemented by the Ma\u0161a Private Preschool Institution in Podgorica.<\/p>\n
In addition to these awards, the expert jury recognised three more projects. Awards were given to the \u201cVeljko Drobnjakovi\u0107\u201d Primary School in Risan for the \u201cSchool Recycling Yard\u201d project, the \u201cMileva Lajovi\u0107 Lalatovi\u0107\u201d Primary School in Nik\u0161i\u0107 for the \u201cSchoolyard \u2013 Outdoor Classroom\u201d project, and the \u201cOktoih\u201d Primary School in Podgorica for the \u201cSchool Organic Eco-Garden\u201d project.<\/p>\n Taking into account the diversity of the institutions\u2019 creativity and needs in implementing their projects, the committee unanimously decided, as an incentive for future years and the development of new projects, to award those whose budgets had not reached the maximum permitted amount. Accordingly, after funding had been awarded to the first six projects, the remaining amount of EUR 250 was added to the awards already granted to the \u201cVeljko Drobnjakovi\u0107\u201d Primary School in Risan and the \u201cOktoih\u201d Primary School in Podgorica.<\/p>\n As a reminder, on 20 September the Montenegrin Electricity Distribution System, in cooperation with the Bureau for Education of Montenegro, announced a competition for an environmental protection project entitled \u201cEnergy Underlined in Green\u201d. Educational institutions implementing the International Eco-Schools Programme were eligible to participate, namely those holding the international Green Flag award, as well as institutions that had applied to pilot the Eco-Schools Programme.
