This is a project that CEDIS is implementing for the second consecutive year in cooperation with the Institute for Education.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cedis.me\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/DSC1168-scaled.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-14304\" src=\"https:\/\/cedis.me\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/DSC1168-1024x675.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>CEDIS Executive Director, <strong>Vladimir \u010ca\u0111enovi\u0107<\/strong>, said the company wanted this project to provide schools and the community as a whole with the impetus to pursue their efforts to raise students\u2019, teachers\u2019 and the public\u2019s awareness of the importance of the environment. Every individual is an important link on the path towards a safer and cleaner place to live. Nature has already given Montenegro everything, and it is up to us to preserve it as the greatest treasure that makes us unique in the world,\u201d said \u010ca\u0111enovi\u0107.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cedis.me\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/DSC1197-scaled.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-14307\" src=\"https:\/\/cedis.me\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/DSC1197-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>First place in the competition went to the project \u201cI Choose to Compost\u201d, prepared by the \u201cBambi\u201d Public Preschool Institution from Tivat. Director <strong>Jelena Perunovi\u0107 Samard\u017ei\u0107<\/strong> said they had been fostering environmental awareness among the youngest children for many years.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis award will give us additional encouragement to continue along the same path in implementing and carrying out the projects we have planned with our youngest children,\u201d said Perunovi\u0107 Samard\u017ei\u0107.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cedis.me\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/DSC1200-scaled.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-14309\" src=\"https:\/\/cedis.me\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/DSC1200-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Second place went to the \u201cSchool Nursery\u201d project submitted by the \u201c\u0160tampar Makarije\u201d Primary School in Podgorica.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe award-winning project aims to raise awareness among all our students about environmental protection. Numerous afforestation activities are planned, not only in the schoolyard but also in the wider community, using seedlings that will be grown in our school nursery,\u201d said <strong>Marija Lazarevi\u0107<\/strong>, Assistant Principal of the \u201c\u0160tampar Makarije\u201d Primary School.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cedis.me\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/DSC1210-scaled.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-14311\" src=\"https:\/\/cedis.me\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/DSC1210-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Third place went to the \u201cEco Classroom \u2013 Outdoor Classroom\u201d project by the \u201cPavle Rovinski\u201d Primary School in Podgorica. The school\u2019s principal, <strong>Dijana Lakovi\u0107<\/strong>, recalled that the institution received an international \u201cEco-Schools\u201d certificate in 2016.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe thank CEDIS and the Institute for Education for supporting environmental activities in educational institutions in the best possible way. We are pleased that the jury recognised the importance of the eco classroom for our school,\u201d said Lakovi\u0107.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cEco Classroom\u201d project coordinator is <strong>Nata\u0161a Bulatovi\u0107<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe project is important because our school is overcrowded and we do not have enough space, so this classroom will be very useful for holding extracurricular activities,\u201d said Bulatovi\u0107.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cedis.me\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/DSC1233-scaled.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-14313\" src=\"https:\/\/cedis.me\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/DSC1233-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In addition to these three awards, the expert jury recognised three more projects.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cRadoje \u010cizmovi\u0107\u201d Primary School in Nik\u0161i\u0107 received recognition for its \u201cEco Corner for Cooperation\u201d project. The school\u2019s principal, <strong>Milena Danilovi\u0107<\/strong>, recalled that the institution had been committed to environmental protection for a long time, and that its teachers and children deserved recognition.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe award is the crowning achievement of our work. The project is important to us because we will build an outdoor eco classroom that will enhance our schoolyard,\u201d said Danilovi\u0107.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201c21. maj\u201d Primary School in Podgorica also received recognition for its \u201cBotanical Park\u201d project.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs part of this project, we will equip and prepare the schoolyard to become a small oasis in our community, where children will be able to spend their free time,\u201d said <strong>Jasmin \u0160aboti\u0107<\/strong>, a biology teacher.<\/p>\n<p>An award also went to the project submitted by the \u201cIvo Visin\u201d Primary School in Kotor. The principal of the institution, <strong>Petra \u0106etkovi\u0107<\/strong>, said they had already started work on a project that would be highly significant.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt involves improving an area that is currently unused. We will plant a garden whose produce will be used by the kindergarten located near the school. In this way, we will provide a meal for the children attending the extended-day programme,\u201d said \u0106etkovi\u0107.<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"Energija podvu\u010deno zelenom 2022 - Izjave\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/CN1_2C9vTZA?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The prize fund amounted to EUR 15,000, and jury member <strong>Sa\u0161a Karajovi\u0107<\/strong> said it had been difficult to choose the best projects.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSmall differences determined which projects would receive awards. The awards went to those with the greatest participation by children and students, as well as support from the local community. We are pleased that, in addition to the five projects initially expected, we were able to secure funding for a sixth project.
