This phase of the project covers <strong>eight 10 kV power lines<\/strong> in rural areas throughout Montenegro: <u>\u201cUna\u010d-Plu\u017eine\u201d; \u201cJelenak-Danilovgrad\u201d; \u201cVazdu\u0161ni Tuzi-Tuzi-Pogodrica\u201d; \u201cMeteh-Plav\u201d; \u201cGa\u010d-Ulcinj\u201d; \u201cGrbalj-Kotor\u201d; \u201cRovca-Kola\u0161in\u201d and \u201cNovakovi\u0107i- \u017dabljak\u201d<\/u>. The most challenging power lines were selected, with the highest number of outages and the largest service areas, while care was also taken to ensure that the investment was proportionally distributed among the regions.<\/p>\n<p>A special feature of the third phase of the Project is the full engagement of CEDIS employees in electromechanical installation works, resulting in significant savings.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-13763 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/cedis.me\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/Jelenak-5-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1704\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-13759 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/cedis.me\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/Jelenak-2-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1704\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>CEDIS\u2019s strategic commitment is to rely as much as possible on its own resources, particularly in electromechanical installation works. This decision is based on detailed analyses conducted during the previous phases of the revitalisation, which point not only to financial benefits but also to greater efficiency among our electromechanical teams, precisely because of their familiarity with the system and the terrain<\/em>,\u201d said <strong>Vladimir \u010ca\u0111enovi\u0107, CEDIS Executive Director<\/strong>, while inspecting the works to revitalise the 10 kV \u201cJelenak\u201d power line, which marked the start of the Project\u2019s third phase.<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"Tre\u0107a faza revitalizacije NN i SN mre\u017ee - izjava izvr\u0161nog direktora CEDIS-a Vladimira \u010ca\u0111enovi\u0107a\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/MTKj1iSAUx8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-13757 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/cedis.me\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/Jelenak-1-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1704\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u010ca\u0111enovi\u0107 particularly emphasised the complexity of the circumstances, despite which CEDIS is persisting with financially demanding investment projects, and recalled the energy crisis and inflationary pressures that<\/p>\n<p>are destabilising the operations of electricity distribution companies worldwide.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-13765 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/cedis.me\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/Jelenak-7-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1704\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>For months now, the prices of energy, materials and equipment required for the system to function have been high and unpredictable, significantly complicating many processes within the Company. Despite this, we insist on investing, that is, on creating added value, as the only constructive response in times of crisis. By investing in rural infrastructure, we ensure a stable electricity supply for tens of thousands of users, while also creating the conditions for more dynamic development of agriculture and tourism in rural areas. In other words, we are investing responsibly in projects that drive further development and serve the public interest<\/em>,\u201d concluded <strong>\u010ca\u0111enovi\u0107.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-13761 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/cedis.me\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/Jelenak-4-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1704\" height=\"2560\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The third phase covers the revitalisation of <strong>eight power lines with a total length of approximately 260 km<\/strong>. The Project \u043f\u0440\u0435\u0434\u0443\u0441\u043c\u0430\u0442\u0440\u0438es the replacement of worn-out power line components and substations, as well as the installation of new, high-quality network components. Once the revitalisation is complete, users are guaranteed a higher-quality, safer and more stable electricity supply, as well as a reduced frequency and duration of network interruptions.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-13767 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/cedis.me\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/Jelenak-8-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1704\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>The Project provides for the installation of approximately <strong>two thousand wooden poles<\/strong><\/em><em><strong>, 765 concrete poles and around 460 lattice steel poles. Along selected sections, 95 tonnes of conductors will also be replaced, including the <\/strong><\/em><em><strong>complete reconstruction of 130 substations, <\/strong>which will involve installing new cabinets, riser cables, transformers and medium-voltage outdoor mounting bases. It should be borne in mind that we are revitalising some of the most challenging 10 kV power lines in Montenegro, which are prone to frequent outages and require complex interventions over long stretches and in difficult-to-access terrain, especially in the north. Among the benefits that have become evident over the previous two phases, I would particularly highlight the reduced workload for our teams and savings resulting from fewer interventions in challenging terrain during the winter months, as well as the positive impact on technical losses on the revitalised network, which is one of the Company\u2019s strategic objectives.
