CEDIS Executive Director Vladimir \u010ca\u0111enovi\u0107<\/strong> said that the Agreement with the \u201cVaso Aligrudi\u0107\u201d Secondary Electrical Engineering School is another way for the Company to help young people better understand the energy sector and support Montenegro\u2019s education system.<\/p>\n \u201cWe hope this form of cooperation will promote the energy sector and help increase enrolment in this programme in the coming years. We have a Specialist Training Development Service and a modern Training Centre that meets all the requirements for the practical training needed in the Electrical Power Engineering Technician programme. At our Centre, young people can see and try out everything they have learned in theory at school, with the support of our expert staff. The world has no chance of survival without the energy sector, so we must all do more to encourage young people to take an interest in this field. As a company whose core business is the energy sector, we will be there to guide and support them and, ultimately, employ the best, because the future of our company also rests on their knowledge and skills,\u201d explained CEDIS Executive Director Vladimir \u010ca\u0111enovi\u0107<\/strong>, describing the reasons behind the decision to sign the Cooperation Agreement.<\/p>\n Practical training has already begun at the Training Centre. According to Marina Braleti\u0107<\/strong>, a teacher of power engineering and automation at the \u201cVaso Aligrudi\u0107\u201d School, there have been few opportunities for practical training in the Electrical Power Engineering Technician programme so far. She stressed how important it is that, through this training, students will see first-hand everything they learn from books, which is extremely valuable for what awaits them tomorrow, whether they enter employment or continue their education.<\/p>\n \u201cWhat I expect to be the greatest result of this cooperation is increased interest among young people in the Electrical Power Engineering Technician programme. That interest has declined over the past few years, and we must do everything we can to raise public awareness and help young people understand that the energy sector is the future of global development. That is why it is important for them to finally experience and see for themselves what they are learning and what they can do in the future. They are the best ambassadors, because these students will share their experience with others. I expect that at least some of those who have completed this training will seek employment, first and foremost at CEDIS, the largest employer in this segment of the energy sector. I sincerely hope that all these activities will encourage young people to take an interest in the energy sector,\u201d said Braleti\u0107.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The students also made no secret of how pleased they were with the practical training provided by CEDIS. Fourth-year students were able to observe transformer testing, oil testing and measurements, as well as how insulation resistance and winding resistance are tested on transformers at 35\/10 kV transformer stations. They will have the opportunity to see much more during eight four-hour visits to the Centre. <\/p>\n Fourth-year students Ron\u010devi\u0107 Milo\u0161<\/strong>, Bojan Petranovi\u0107<\/strong> and Bulatovi\u0107 \u017deljko<\/strong> expressed their satisfaction with this form of practical training. They saw how transformer oil is tested and watched line workers climb poles, learning how cautious they must be at work and how important occupational safety is. They had not had this kind of practical training before and believe it will also improve their knowledge.<\/p>\n It should be noted that this Agreement is another example of CEDIS\u2019s corporate social responsibility, which is an integral part of the Company\u2019s corporate policy and business strategy.
