Montenegrin Electricity Distribution System has successfully completed a \u20ac2.6 million project to replace conductors on four 35 kV overhead lines supplying electricity to parts of the municipalities of Herceg Novi, Budva, Bar and Ulcinj. The work carried out is of exceptional importance for ensuring a more reliable and higher-quality electricity supply for more than 28,000 customers in this popular tourist area, particularly during the summer peak-load season. It also creates the conditions for constructing new power facilities and connecting new customers.<\/p>\n
On the 10.3 km-long 35 kV overhead line \u201cTS 110\/35 kV Bar \u2013 TS 35\/10 kV Sutomore\u201d, the existing conductor was replaced with a new one (HTLS-class ACCC) with at least 40% greater transmission capacity. This has created the conditions for ensuring a reliable, high-quality electricity supply to the areas of Sutomore, \u0110urmani and \u010canj. The work on this overhead line was valued at approximately \u20ac1.3 million.<\/p>\n
The conductor was also replaced on the 35 kV overhead line \u201cTS 110\/35 kV Ulcinj – TS 35\/10 kV Velika Pla\u017ea 1\u201d, ensuring a higher-quality electricity supply for customers in the hinterland of Velika Pla\u017ea and Ada Bojana. The project also covered the 35 kV overhead lines \u201cTS 110\/35 kV Markovi\u0107i-TS 35\/10 kV Milo\u010der\u201d and \u201cTS 110\/35 kV Podi-TS 35\/10 kV Topla\u201d. This improved the quality of supply and increased capacity for connecting new facilities in parts of Budva (parts of Be\u010di\u0107i, Kamenovo, Sveti Stefan, Petrovac and Buljarica), as well as in parts of the Herceg Novi municipality (Sutorina, Njivice, \u017dvinje, the Industrial Zone, Rati\u0161evina, Su\u0161\u0107epan, Trebesin, Mojde\u017e, Gomila, Igalo centre, Tatar ba\u0161ta, Novosadsko, Stani\u0161i\u0107a Dubrava, Topla (1, 2 and 3), the Health Centre, the Dr Simo Milo\u0161evi\u0107 Institute, and the Debeli Brijeg and Konfin border crossings). CEDIS allocated approximately \u20ac1.3 million for work on these three overhead lines.<\/p>\n
