Extensive activities undertaken by CEDIS to revitalise the distribution network are being carried out in accordance with the scheduled plans. Work is under way at numerous locations, with millions being invested, and the results will include higher-quality, safer and more stable electricity supply, particularly in rural areas throughout Montenegro.<\/p>\n
As part of the most financially demanding project, which is being implemented on seven overhead lines (\u201cGrahovo\u201d in Nik\u0161i\u0107, \u201cBijela\u201d in \u0160avnik, \u201cGubava\u010d\u201d and \u201cToma\u0161evo\u201d in Bijelo Polje, \u201cDolac\u201d in Berane, \u201cSlap Zete\u201d in Danilovgrad and \u201cKrute\u201d in Ulcinj), around 1,500 poles on the medium- and low-voltage networks had been replaced by the end of September. A total of 160,000 m2 of land beneath the overhead lines had also been cleared. We would like to remind you that approximately \u20ac12.4 million has been allocated for the first year of reconstruction of these seven overhead lines. The works are being carried out by a consortium comprising the Montenegrin companies \u201cMezon\u201d d.o.o. Danilovgrad, \u201cElectro Team\u201d d.o.o. Budva and \u201cRamel\u201d d.o.o. Nik\u0161i\u0107, with which a framework agreement was signed in December last year for a period of 24 months for the purposes of the Medium-Voltage (MV) and Low-Voltage (LV) Power Network Revitalisation Project.<\/p>\n
Preparatory activities are also being carried out in parallel to revitalise three more overhead lines: \u201cVrela\u201d in Cetinje, \u201cMavrijan\u201d in Ulcinj and \u201cKrivo\u0161ije\u201d in Kotor. The total value of the works to be carried out on these three overhead lines, which supply around 1,800 customers, is approximately \u20ac4 million, while around \u20ac1.9 million has been allocated for the first year.<\/p>\n

In addition to the above, as part of its maintenance activities, CEDIS is also reconstructing 16 medium-voltage overhead lines, with approximately \u20ac1 million invested to date. By the end of September, CEDIS teams had completed the revitalisation of around 239 kilometres of network, replaced 1,227 poles and reconstructed 30 pole-mounted transformer stations at a voltage level of 10\/0.4 kV. Our teams are currently working on the \u201cLipova Ravan\u201d, \u201cKne\u017eevi\u0107i\u201d, \u201cBabi\u0107i\u201d and \u201cMiljkova\u0107\u201d overhead lines in Nik\u0161i\u0107, as well as \u201cLutovo\u201d, \u201cMatagu\u017ei\u201d and \u201cRadio \u2013 predajnik\u201d in the Podgorica municipality. Reconstruction is also under way in Cetinje (the \u201cCetinje\u201d and \u201cMeterizi\u201d overhead lines), as well as in Berane (10 kV Luge overhead line), Ulcinj (10 kV \u0160as overhead line), Herceg Novi (10 kV Kameno overhead line), Kotor (10 kV Morinj overhead line), Kola\u0161in (10 kV Skrbu\u0161a overhead line), Pljevlja (10 kV Komini overhead line) and \u017dabljak (10 kV Timar overhead line). Since the beginning of the year, CEDIS has allocated approximately \u20ac2 million for works carried out as part of maintenance.<\/p>\n
We would like to remind you that over the next three years CEDIS will invest more than \u20ac50 million in MV and LV network reconstruction projects and maintenance. We expect that, by the end of next year, even remote rural households will have a significantly improved electricity supply as a result of our efforts and substantial investments.<\/p>\n
