{"id":9191,"date":"2019-07-24T15:46:14","date_gmt":"2019-07-24T15:46:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cedis.me\/uncategorized\/e80-million-for-safe-and-high-quality-electricity-supply\/"},"modified":"2026-10-09T08:43:48","modified_gmt":"2026-10-09T08:43:48","slug":"e80-million-for-safe-and-high-quality-electricity-supply","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cedis.me\/en\/latest-news\/e80-million-for-safe-and-high-quality-electricity-supply\/","title":{"rendered":"\u20ac80 Million for Safe and High-Quality Electricity Supply"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>The medium-voltage and low-voltage network rehabilitation project<\/em> <em>being implemented by CEDIS is one of the most significant investments in the distribution system in recent decades and <\/em><em>will significantly encourage positive developments in municipalities in the north,<\/em> stated the Minister of Economy <strong>Dragica Sekuli\u0107,<\/strong> who today, together with representatives of CEDIS and the Contractor, visited the section of the \u201cDolac\u201d overhead line in Berane, where reconstruction is under way.<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"Obilazak radova na dalekovodu Dolac - Berane\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/WlQryzHk4k0?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Sekuli\u0107 said she was particularly pleased with compliance with the planned schedule for carrying out the works, and added that she believed that, following the completion of this project and CEDIS\u2019s other investment activities planned for the next three years, users of the distribution system in Montenegro would receive a significantly higher-quality electricity supply, especially in rural areas.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <em>Under its three-year investment plan, CEDIS is to invest around \u20ac80 million in the primary and secondary networks in Montenegro, of which around \u20ac50 million will go towards the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the existing network and \u20ac30 million towards the construction of new distribution facilities<\/em> \u2013 Minister <strong>Sekuli\u0107<\/strong> said, adding that this project was certainly the largest investment in the distribution system since the 1980s.<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"Obilazak DV Dolac - Dragica Sekulic - Ministarka ekonomije\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/tGrgGAwabxs?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Around \u20ac12.4 million has been allocated for the first year of works under the Rehabilitation Project to reconstruct seven 10 kV overhead lines. Work is currently under way on the \u201cGrahovo\u201d overhead line in Nik\u0161i\u0107, \u201cBijela\u201d in \u0160avnik, \u201cGubava\u010d\u201d in Bijelo Polje and \u201cDolac\u201d in Berane, while work is expected to begin soon on the remaining overhead lines (\u201cSlap Zete\u201d in Danilovgrad, \u201cKrute\u201d in Ulcinj and \u201cToma\u0161evo\u201d in Bijelo Polje).<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8211; It is important to note that, through the Rehabilitation Project, CEDIS and the Government of Montenegro are demonstrating their commitment to taking a strategic approach to the distribution system. He also expressed his gratitude to customers for their patience during supply interruptions, which are a necessary part of implementing the project. He said that customers had been more than patient despite frequent electricity supply interruptions caused by the inadequate quality of the network in the past. He stressed his confidence that, following the completion of this and CEDIS\u2019s other projects, the quality of supply in rural areas would improve significantly.<\/p>\n<p>We remind you that the works are being carried out by a consortium comprising the Montenegrin companies \u201cMezon\u201d d.o.o. Danilovgrad, \u201cElectro Team\u201d d.o.o. Budva and \u201cRamel\u201d d.o.o.
