{"id":9195,"date":"2019-06-24T08:09:17","date_gmt":"2019-06-24T08:09:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cedis.me\/uncategorized\/10-per-cent-more-energy-taken-compared-to-may-last-year\/"},"modified":"2026-10-09T08:45:02","modified_gmt":"2026-10-09T08:45:02","slug":"10-per-cent-more-energy-taken-compared-to-may-last-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cedis.me\/en\/latest-news\/10-per-cent-more-energy-taken-compared-to-may-last-year\/","title":{"rendered":"10 per cent more energy taken compared to May last year"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Users of the electricity distribution system took a total of <strong>205,595,732 kWh of electricity<\/strong> in May, which is around ten per cent more than in the same period last year and around five per cent more than in April.<\/p>\n<p>The largest amount of electricity, or almost 36 per cent, was distributed to users in the areas of Podgorica, Danilovgrad and Cetinje (Region 2).<\/p>\n<p>A total of <strong>367,356 metering points<\/strong> were read in the previous month, or <strong>93 per cent<\/strong> of the total (unread metering points are located in properties that are not permanently occupied). The reading rate for metering points equipped with new electronic meters is 99 per cent.<\/p>\n<p>In May, teams from the Maintenance Sector <strong>carried out 1,488 <\/strong><strong>field interventions.<\/strong> The value of maintenance work on electricity infrastructure amounted to around<strong> EUR 258,698 thousand.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>During May, activities were carried out to implement five investment projects with a total value of around EUR 435,000, a significant portion of which (EUR 104,200) was allocated to the construction of the 10\/0.4 kV substations \u201cDu\u0161i\u0107i\u201d in Tuzi and \u201cOrja Luka\u201d in Danilovgrad. Technical inspections are under way for four facilities with a total value of around EUR 195,000, the largest amount of which was allocated to the 10\/0.4 kV transformer station &#8220;Pistula 3&#8221; in Ulcinj (EUR 73,000). During the previous month, work was also carried out to obtain the necessary documentation to begin construction of the 10\/0.4 kV substation \u201cGornji Kokoti\u201d in Podgorica (EUR 28,000) and three 10 kV cable lines in the Ulcinj area, with a value of around EUR 668,000.<\/p>\n<p><strong>601<\/strong><strong> new users were connected<\/strong> to the distribution network in May.<\/p>\n<p>In the previous month, <strong>2,085 new electronic meters<\/strong><strong> were installed<\/strong> across Montenegro.
