During the visit, the students had the opportunity to reinforce their theoretical knowledge of high-voltage switchgear and learn more about the components of substation facilities.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.admin.cedis.me\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/TS-Podgorica-4-10kV-postrojenje.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-6414 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.admin.cedis.me\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/TS-Podgorica-4-10kV-postrojenje.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Professor Vladan Radulovi\u0107 noted that visits by Faculty of Electrical Engineering students to CEDIS facilities are a regular annual practice and provide valuable support for teaching in the Energy and Automation programme, as well as for Montenegro\u2019s education system as a whole. He expressed his gratitude to CEDIS employees for their warm welcome and for taking the time to meet with the students.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>For several years now, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Podgorica, in cooperation with CEDIS, has been organising these study visits to power facilities and installations. The aim of the visits is to give students the opportunity to see first-hand how facilities are constructed, their components, layout and operating conditions, thereby supplementing the knowledge they have acquired through theoretical instruction. Experience has shown that this type of practical teaching significantly helps students master the course material and gain a deeper understanding of how the facilities and the entire system operate,\u201d Radulovi\u0107 concluded.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.admin.cedis.me\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/predavanje-110kV-postrojenje.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-6416\" src=\"http:\/\/www.admin.cedis.me\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/predavanje-110kV-postrojenje-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Professor Radulovi\u0107 lectured the students on the characteristics of 110 kV switchgear, while Ivana \u0160ljuki\u0107, Head of the Region 2 Local Network Control Service, and switching operator Nikola Radoman gave a detailed presentation of the components and specific features of the 10 kV switchgear at the \u201cPodgorica 4\u201d substation.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.admin.cedis.me\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/predavanje-110kV-postrojenje-2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-6420\" src=\"http:\/\/www.admin.cedis.me\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/predavanje-110kV-postrojenje-2-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Dispatchers Nikola Ra\u0161ovi\u0107 and Ivica Stojanovi\u0107 showed the students the renovated dispatch rooms and provided basic guidance on interpreting Podgorica\u2019s 10 kV diagram.<\/p>\n<p>As hosts of the visit, employees of the Network Operations Sector did their best to ensure that the tour of the \u201cPodgorica 4\u201d substation was enjoyable and, most importantly, safe\u2014as the students\u2019 impressions also confirm.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.admin.cedis.me\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/TS-Pg4-dispe\u010deri.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-6418\" src=\"http:\/\/www.admin.cedis.me\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/TS-Pg4-dispe\u010deri-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThis is my first visit to CEDIS, and I\u2019m glad I had the opportunity to see all this. We study and draw diagrams, but until now we\u2019ve never had the chance to see what it all really looks like and how it works. I must also mention the exceptionally pleasant working atmosphere here at CEDIS.
