{"id":9200,"date":"2019-04-24T09:03:16","date_gmt":"2019-04-24T09:03:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cedis.me\/uncategorized\/12-per-cent-less-energy-taken-in-comparison-with-march-last-year\/"},"modified":"2026-10-09T08:45:40","modified_gmt":"2026-10-09T08:45:40","slug":"12-per-cent-less-energy-taken-in-comparison-with-march-last-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cedis.me\/en\/latest-news\/12-per-cent-less-energy-taken-in-comparison-with-march-last-year\/","title":{"rendered":"12 per cent less energy taken in comparison with March last year"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Users of the electricity distribution system took a total of <strong>219,977,665<\/strong> <strong>kWh of electricity<\/strong> in March, around 12 per cent less than in the same period last year and around seven per cent less than in February.<\/p>\n<p>The largest amount of electricity, or almost 40 per cent, was distributed to users in the areas of Podgorica, Danilovgrad and Cetinje (Region 2).<\/p>\n<p>A total of <strong>363,359 metering points<\/strong> were read last month, or <strong>92 per cent<\/strong> of the total (unread metering points are located in buildings that are not permanently occupied). The reading rate for metering points equipped with new electronic meters is 99 per cent.<\/p>\n<p>In March, the Maintenance Sector teams <strong>intervened in the field 2,032<\/strong><strong> times.<\/strong> The value of works to maintain electricity facilities amounted to around<strong> EUR 317,712 thousand.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>During March, activities were carried out to implement five investment projects with a total value of around EUR 439 thousand, a significant portion of which (EUR 134,000) was allocated to the reconstruction of more than six kilometres of low-voltage network supplied with electricity from the 10\/0.4 kV \u201c\u010cevo\u201d substation. In addition, work was carried out last month to obtain the necessary documentation to begin construction works on three 10 kV cable lines (\u201cVelika Pla\u017ea 2 &#8211; Bratstvo i jedinstvo\u201d, \u201cVelika Pla\u017ea 2 &#8211; KZ Sv. Nikola\u201d and \u201cVelika Pla\u017ea &#8211; Mad\u017eo 2\u201d), with a value of around EUR 668 thousand. Technical inspections are under way for seven facilities with a total value of around EUR 432 thousand, with the largest amount allocated to the 10\/0.4 kV \u201cTolo\u0161i 7\u201d transformer station in Podgorica (EUR 75,000).<\/p>\n<p><strong>485 new users were connected<\/strong> to the distribution network in March.<\/p>\n<p>Last month, <strong>3,128 new electronic meters<\/strong><strong> were installed<\/strong> in Montenegro. The total number of metering points in Montenegro equipped with remotely operated electronic meters is around 302,000, covering around 76 per cent of consumption.<\/p>\n<p>CEDIS\u2019s core activity is the distribution of electricity, and the construction and maintenance of distribution facilities and the network.
