{"id":9210,"date":"2019-01-28T10:31:40","date_gmt":"2019-01-28T10:31:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cedis.me\/uncategorized\/30-per-cent-more-energy-taken-in-december\/"},"modified":"2026-10-09T09:35:32","modified_gmt":"2026-10-09T09:35:32","slug":"30-per-cent-more-energy-taken-in-december","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cedis.me\/en\/latest-news\/30-per-cent-more-energy-taken-in-december\/","title":{"rendered":"30 Per Cent More Energy Taken in December"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Users of the electricity distribution system took a total of <strong>267,173,970<\/strong> <strong>kWh of electricity<\/strong> in December, around thirty per cent more than in November.<\/p>\n<p>The largest share of electricity, or almost 42 per cent, was distributed to users in the areas of Podgorica, Danilovgrad and Cetinje (Region 2).<\/p>\n<p>A total of <strong>357,866 metering points<\/strong> were read in the previous month, or <strong>91 per cent<\/strong> of the total number (unread metering points are located in properties that are not permanently occupied). The reading rate for metering points equipped with new electronic meters is 98.2 per cent.<\/p>\n<p>In December, the Maintenance Sector teams <strong>carried out 1,520 field interventions.<\/strong> The value of works to maintain electricity facilities amounted to around <strong>EUR 522,000.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>During December, work continued on nine investment projects with a total value of around EUR 1.186 million, with the largest share of funding allocated to investment in the secondary network in the municipality of Ulcinj. A project worth EUR 143,000 is also under way, involving the reconstruction of nine 10\/0.4 kV transformer stations in the areas of Ulcinj, Bar and Budva. In the area of Nik\u0161i\u0107, construction is under way on a 10\/0.4 kV transformer station in Bo\u0161ka Jankovi\u0107a Street, with a value of around EUR 70,000. Construction is also under way in the area of Ulcinj on the 10\/0.4 kV \u201cPistula3\u201d transformer station, for which around EUR 73,000 has been allocated. Works on eight investment projects with a total value of around EUR 364,000 were also completed during December.<\/p>\n<p>In the previous month, <strong>5,978 new electronic meters were installed<\/strong> across Montenegro. The total number of metering points in Montenegro equipped with remotely controlled electronic meters is around 296,000, covering approximately 75 per cent of consumption.<\/p>\n<p>In December, <strong>542 new users were connected<\/strong> to the distribution network.<\/p>\n<p>CEDIS\u2019s core activity is the distribution of electricity, and the construction and maintenance of distribution facilities and the network.
