{"id":9275,"date":"2018-09-25T14:38:07","date_gmt":"2018-09-25T14:38:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cedis.me\/uncategorized\/over-one-million-euros-invested-in-new-facilities-in-august\/"},"modified":"2026-10-09T09:39:13","modified_gmt":"2026-10-09T09:39:13","slug":"over-one-million-euros-invested-in-new-facilities-in-august","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cedis.me\/en\/latest-news\/over-one-million-euros-invested-in-new-facilities-in-august\/","title":{"rendered":"Over One Million Euros Invested in New Facilities in August"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Users of the electricity distribution system took a total of <strong>261.828.698<\/strong> <strong>kWh of electricity<\/strong> in August, around 10 per cent more than in July.<\/p>\n<p>Almost 34 per cent of the electricity was distributed to users in the areas of Podgorica, Danilovgrad and Cetinje (Region 2).<\/p>\n<p>A total of <strong>360.623 metering points<\/strong> were read in the previous month, or <strong>93 per cent<\/strong> of the total number (unread metering points are located in properties that are not permanently occupied). The reading rate at metering points equipped with new electronic meters is 99 per cent.<\/p>\n<p>In August, teams from the Maintenance Sector <strong>carried out 2,211<\/strong><strong> field interventions.<\/strong> The value of work on maintaining electricity facilities amounted to around <strong>334 thousand euros. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In the previous month, <strong>377<\/strong> <strong>power outages<\/strong> were announced across Montenegro due to planned works on the network<strong>. The average duration of outages was around 3.9 hours<\/strong>. We remind users that planned works are carried out to ensure a higher-quality and more reliable electricity supply, and users are informed daily about the work schedules through the media, the website and the Facebook page.<\/p>\n<p>Construction of facilities and the network <strong>worth around one million and 162 thousand euros<\/strong> was underway in August. The most financially demanding projects are being carried out in the Ulcinj area, where three 10 kV cables are under construction (\u201cVelika Pla\u017ea &#8211; Mad\u017eo 2\u201d, \u201cVelika Pla\u017ea 2 \u2013 Bratstva i jedinstva\u201d and \u201cVelika Pla\u017ea 2 \u2013 Sveti Nikola\u201d), with a total value of 668 thousand euros. In the Bijelo Polje area, reconstruction of the 10 kV \u201cToma\u0161evo\u201d overhead line, valued at 142 thousand euros, is underway. In Nik\u0161i\u0107, the 10 kV \u201cDonje Selo \u2013 Bile\u0107ko jezero\u201d overhead line, valued at 80 thousand euros, and two transformer substations (STS 10\/0.4 kV \u201cVodovod I\u201d and \u201cVodovod II\u201d Petrovi\u0107i) are under construction.<\/p>\n<p>During August, <strong>2,880 new electronic meters were installed<\/strong> across Montenegro. Around 275 thousand metering points in Montenegro are equipped with remotely controlled electronic meters, covering around 70 per cent of consumption.<\/p>\n<p>A total of <strong>694<\/strong> <strong>new users were connected<\/strong> to the distribution network in August.<\/p>\n<p>CEDIS\u2019s core activity is the distribution of electricity, and the construction and maintenance of distribution facilities and the network.
