{"id":9313,"date":"2018-05-25T14:27:58","date_gmt":"2018-05-25T14:27:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cedis.me\/uncategorized\/24-per-cent-less-electricity-consumed\/"},"modified":"2026-10-09T09:41:36","modified_gmt":"2026-10-09T09:41:36","slug":"24-per-cent-less-electricity-consumed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cedis.me\/en\/latest-news\/24-per-cent-less-electricity-consumed\/","title":{"rendered":"24 per cent less electricity consumed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Users of the electricity distribution system consumed a total of <strong>188,778,119<\/strong> <strong>kWh of electricity<\/strong> in April, around 24 per cent less than in March.<\/p>\n<p>The largest share of electricity, almost 39 per cent, was distributed to users in the areas of Podgorica, Danilovgrad and Cetinje (Region 2).<\/p>\n<p>A total of <strong>352,879 metering points<\/strong> were read in the previous month, or <strong>90 per cent<\/strong> of the total number (unread metering points are located in properties that are not permanently occupied). The reading rate for metering points equipped with new electronic meters is 99 per cent.<\/p>\n<p>In April, the Maintenance Sector teams carried out <strong>1,815 field interventions.<\/strong> The value of works on the maintenance of electricity infrastructure amounted to around <strong>285 thousand euros. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In the previous month, <strong>460<\/strong> <strong>outages<\/strong> due to planned network works were announced across the entire territory of Montenegro. <strong>The average outage duration was around 3.4 hours<\/strong>. We remind users that planned works are carried out to ensure a higher-quality and more reliable electricity supply, and users are informed daily about work schedules through the media, the website and the Facebook page.<\/p>\n<p>The final phase is under way of the project to build the \u20ac2 million \u201eNovi Ulcinj\u201c 35\/10 kV transformer substation. In April, works worth \u20ac50,000 were also completed on the replacement and installation of transformers at the \u201eUna\u010d\u201c and \u201e\u0160avnik\u201c 35\/10 kV transformer substations. In the Danilovgrad municipality, works on the reconstruction of the low-voltage network in Mamu\u0107evina were also completed in April.<\/p>\n<p>During April, <strong>181 new electronic meters were installed<\/strong> across Montenegro. The total number of metering points in Montenegro equipped with remotely controlled electronic meters is around 272,000, covering approximately 70 per cent of consumption.<\/p>\n<p>In the previous month, <strong>341 new users were connected to the distribution network.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>CEDIS\u2019s core activities are the distribution of electricity and the construction and maintenance of distribution facilities and the network.
