Temporary Connection – Event Organization

To support the upcoming numerous cultural events held in outdoor public areas across all municipalities in our country, a connection for electricity supply must be provided. To this end, all municipalities should submit the primary locations where these events will take place and apply for approval to connect them. CEDIS requires this information in order to identify the best solutions for connecting the submitted locations to the electricity distribution system, in accordance with technical capabilities. On the basis of this solution and the municipality’s application, the required documentation would be obtained to register the relevant local self-government as a customer in the CEDIS database for the corresponding metering point and, ultimately, to provide a permanent connection. The connection provided in this way would be used to supply electricity to cultural and other temporary events approved by the local self-government.

The conditions, method and procedure for obtaining CEDIS approval for a permanent connection (metering point) to supply electricity to the temporary events in question are defined in the Procedure for Issuing Decisions on Approval to Connect and Concluding Contracts for Connection to the Electricity Distribution System.

Accordingly, under the above Procedure, in order for a decision approving the connection to be issued to a customer, that is, the relevant local self-government, and for a contract for connection to the electricity distribution system to be concluded with it, the customer must first submit an application, or complete one at the competent Network Access Service on any working day during customer service hours, from 8:30 to 10:30, at the following locations:

* By clicking on a polygon on the map, you get a concise overview of all key information about the selected region.

The following documents must also be submitted with the application form:

– Approval or consent from the competent authority for the installation of the connection in question, or an act of the competent authority confirming that such consent or approval is not required

– A design prepared by an authorised organisation (single-line diagram with a load balance). In this regard, attention should be drawn to Article 49, paragraphs 2 and 3, of the Rules for the Operation of the Electricity Distribution System, which stipulates that customers whose demand is metered are:

  • customers at the 35 kV voltage level
  • customers at the 10 kV voltage level
  • customers at the 0.4 kV low-voltage level with an approved connection capacity greater than 34.5 kW.
  • Customers whose demand is not metered:
  • customers at the 0.4 kV voltage level with an approved connection capacity of 34.5 kW or less;

– An act containing the local self-government’s tax identification number (PIB) and bank account details;

– Authorisation of the representative, if the application is submitted by an authorised representative.

Based on experience from previous years, we particularly emphasise and ask that the required capacity and energy at the planned locations be carefully assessed, and that consideration also be given to the fact that this is a long-term solution.

The application must be submitted no later than 20 days before the event.
