Today, a meeting between the management of the Montenegrin Electricity Distribution System and representatives of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) was held at the CEDIS headquarters.
CEDIS Executive Director Vladimir Čađenović and Boris Ostojić, Head of the Directorate for Development, Network Access and ICT, hosted Francesca Hsie, Acting Head of the Energy and Infrastructure Office; Polen William, Director of the Just and Secure Energy Transition (JSET) Programme; and Miha Pregl, Deputy Director of the JSET Programme and Director of European Electricity Markets.
Possible areas of cooperation were discussed at the meeting, and both sides expressed their satisfaction that it would continue.
The USAID energy expert team was in Podgorica yesterday and today, meeting with representatives of the energy sector. The stated aim was to develop closer cooperation in order to gain a better understanding of their approach to challenges and opportunities related to the integration of renewable energy sources and market coupling.
