Last month, work was completed on the installation of reclosers and disconnectors on five 10 kV overhead lines in the municipality of Bijelo Polje (“Tomaševo”, “Gubavač”, “Ivanje”, “Srđevac” and “Rasovo”). CEDIS allocated around 500,000 euros for this investment. In addition to the municipality of Bijelo Polje, work is also underway in Bar to install reclosers on three 10 kV overhead lines (“Dupilo”, “Ostros” and “Mrkojevići”), for which around 300,000 euros has been earmarked. In February, work was also completed on the reconstruction of the 35 kV “Buljarica – Virpazar – Podgor” overhead line, as well as the procurement of two transformers for the “Igalo” 35/10 kV substation, for which around 430,000 euros was allocated. Work is also underway on the construction of two 10/0.4 kV substations in Podgorica, with a planned value of around 120,000 euros.
In February, electricity distribution system customers took a total of 266,400,324 kWh of electricity, around 4 per cent less than the consumption recorded in January and 10 per cent more than the energy taken in February of the previous year. The largest share of electricity, around 39 per cent, was distributed to customers in the areas of Podgorica, Danilovgrad and Cetinje (Region 2).
A total of 407,159 meters were read, or 93 per cent of the total (unread metering points are located in buildings that are not permanently occupied). The meter reading rate at metering points equipped with new electronic meters is 99 per cent.
In February, Maintenance Sector teams carried out 2,059 field interventions at the 10/0.4 kV level. The value of work on the maintenance of power facilities (10/0.4 kV) amounted to around 193,000 euros.
A total of 686 new customers were connected to the distribution network in February.
Last month, 35 new electronic meters were installed in Montenegro. The total number of metering points in Montenegro equipped with remotely operated electronic meters is around 340,000, covering around 80 per cent of electricity consumption.
