Concrete Steps Towards Cooperation Between CEDIS and EI “Hrvoje Požar”

CEDIS Executive Director Vladimir Čađenović and Head of the Operations Directorate Vladimir Ivanović were recently on a working visit to Zagreb, where they agreed with representatives of the “Hrvoje Požar” Energy Institute on a series of activities aimed at closer cooperation in the distribution system operator’s priority areas.

Representatives of the “Hrvoje Požar” Energy Institute introduced our delegation to opportunities for more effective implementation of the proposed solutions in strategic energy planning, power system development, energy efficiency, renewable energy sources, and climate and environmental protection, with a view to making optimal use of available capacities.

These are also areas in which CEDIS will receive support through consulting services provided by the Hrvoje Požar Institute.

The “Hrvoje Požar” Energy Institute plays a leading role in the development of the energy sector across the wider region and beyond. The consultants with whom CEDIS management representatives agreed on guidelines for future cooperation are ready to do their utmost to help our company realise its considerable potential.

EIHP is a non-profit scientific institution wholly owned by the state. It is funded through projects awarded under international and national calls for proposals and implemented through contracts.

As the Institute emphasises, the development of the energy system and the relationships within it creates new demands for knowledge and capabilities among all participants in the energy sector and the public administration, as well as a need to educate citizens themselves. Education and information are becoming an important part of the Institute’s work as it fulfils its mission in cooperation with numerous scientists and institutions in Croatia and abroad.
