Users of the electricity distribution system took a total of 222,313,578 kWh of electricity in April, 17 per cent more than in April of the previous year. The largest share of electricity, around 38 per cent, was distributed to users in the areas of Podgorica, Danilovgrad and Cetinje (Region 2).
A total of 389,548 meters were read, or 94 per cent of the total number (unread metering points are located in buildings that are not permanently occupied). The reading rate for metering points equipped with new electronic meters is 99 per cent.
In April, the Maintenance Sector teams carried out 1,699 field interventions. The value of work on the maintenance of electricity facilities amounted to EUR 185,978.
661 new users were connected to the distribution network during April.
In the previous month, 66 new electronic meters were installed across Montenegro. The total number of metering points in Montenegro equipped with remotely controlled electronic meters is around 337,000, covering over 80 per cent of consumption.
In April, a project worth EUR 60,000 to equip two 35 kV bays at “Podi” was completed. This is a prerequisite for the construction of two 35 kV underground lines from the 110/35 kV “Podi” substation to the 35/10 kV “Kumbor” and “Baošići” substations. At the secondary network level (10 and 0.4 kV lines and 10/0.4 kV transformer stations), construction of three 10/0.4 kV transformer stations (“Duvanski kombinat” in Podgorica, “Rena” in Bar and “Borje 1” in Žabljak) was completed in the previous month, at a cost of around EUR 185,000. Reconstruction of the low-voltage network (transformer station area of the 10/0.4 kV “Čevo” substation) in the Municipality of Cetinje was also completed, with the works valued at around EUR 95,000.
CEDIS’s core activity is the distribution of electricity and the construction and maintenance of distribution facilities and the network. CEDIS distributes electricity to around 415,000 users across Montenegro.
