In July, users of the electricity distribution system consumed a total of 237,767,310 kWh of electricity, around 19 per cent more than in June.
The largest amount of electricity, or almost 34 per cent, was distributed to users in the areas of Podgorica, Danilovgrad and Cetinje (Region 2).
A total of 361,495 metering points, or 92 per cent of the total, were read in the previous month (unread metering points are located in buildings that are not permanently occupied). The reading rate for metering points equipped with new electronic meters is 99 per cent.
In July, the teams of the Maintenance Sector carried out field interventions 1,748 times. The value of work on the maintenance of electricity infrastructure facilities amounted to around €330,000.
In the previous month, 395 power outages were announced across Montenegro due to planned network works. The average duration of outages was around 3.7 hours. We remind users that planned works are carried out to ensure a higher quality and more reliable electricity supply, and users are informed daily about the work schedules through the media, the website and the Facebook page.
During July, work worth around €240,000 was completed to replace transformers at the 35/10 kV substations “Guke”, “Rožaje”, “Zeleni” and “Plužine”. In the previous month, work was completed on the reconstruction of six substations in the Nikšić area, at a cost of €93,000. In the Ulcinj area, six projects worth around €350,000 were completed, of which the most financially demanding was the construction of a 10 kV cable line from the “Velika Plaža 1” substation to the “B7” substation. In Bar, the “Mikovići” substation was built at a cost of around €18,000, while in Podgorica, the necessary relocation of electricity infrastructure was completed due to the reconstruction of the Podgorica–Petrovac main road, at a cost of €23,000.
During July, 2,595 new electronic meters were installed across Montenegro. The total number of metering points in Montenegro equipped with remotely controlled electronic meters is around 275,000, covering around 70 per cent of consumption.
810 new users were connected to the distribution network during July.
