CEDIS Hosts High School Students for the Second Time

The Montenegrin Electricity Distribution System (CEDIS) supported the Action Day of the Union of High School Students of Montenegro again this year, giving nearly 400 high school students the opportunity to learn about jobs in the private and public sectors. The project was carried out in the municipalities of Podgorica, Bar and Bijelo Polje.

CEDIS hosted 13 high school students from Podgorica and Bijelo Polje, who earned a day’s pay at our company that day. Four students from social sciences programmes worked in the Human Resources, General Affairs and Corporate Communications Sector; six students from the electrical engineering programme earned their day’s pay in the Network Management Sector and the Metering Sector; and three worked in Bijelo Polje.

In Podgorica, the students visited the Network Management and Metering sectors at the “Podgorica 5” substation, where employees at the substation and Dispatch Centre, as well as in the AMM service, explained the work processes at the substation in an accessible way, including the protection of the facility’s cables and technical details of the outdoor section of the facility.
