Continuation of Works in Ulcinj

CEDIS is continuing work on integrating the 35/10 kV “Novi Ulcinj” substation, which requires the closure of traffic on the sections where cable lines are being laid.

Due to the aforementioned works, from 4 to 11 May, traffic will be completely suspended on the street (next to the CEDIS building) connecting Majke Tereze Street and Simona Filipaja Street.

During this period, traffic will also be completely suspended on Kadi Husein Mujali Street, up to the turn-off for Radovana Zogovića Street.

Works will also be carried out on Hafiz Ali Ulqinaku Street (towards Mala Plaža) until 11 May. A full closure will not be necessary there, and traffic will instead proceed alternately in a single lane.

Repairs to the roads excavated during the previous period for the construction of cables for the “Novi Ulcinj” substation will be completed by 10 May.

We remind you that the works are being carried out to expedite completion of the 35/10 kV “Novi Ulcinj” substation, whose total cost, including the construction of three 35 kV and seven 10 kV cable lines, amounts to approximately two million euros.

The construction of this facility is expected to directly improve the quality of electricity supply for 3,073 customers in the areas of Pinješa, Nova Mahala, Metriz, Prisan, Stari Grad, as well as the Albatros, Mediteran and Holegro hotels. A further 5,527 customers in the central urban area can also expect an improved supply, following the reduction of the load on the 35/10 kV “Grad” substation, which has been operating under overload during the peak season for years.

We ask residents and vehicle owners to remove their parked vehicles from the aforementioned sections before work begins.

We appeal for your understanding and patience, as CEDIS is undertaking all necessary activities to complete the project as efficiently as possible. Its implementation is in the interest of all citizens of Ulcinj.
