Users of the electricity distribution system took a total of 199.514.012 kWh of electricity in May, which is 10 per cent more than in May of the previous year. The largest amount of electricity, around 35 per cent, was distributed to users in the areas of Podgorica, Danilovgrad and Cetinje (Region 2).
A total of 391.860 meters were read, or 94 per cent of the total number (unread metering points are located in buildings that are not permanently occupied). The meter-reading rate at metering points equipped with new electronic meters is 99 per cent.
In May, the Maintenance Sector teams intervened in the field 1599 times. The value of works on the maintenance of electricity facilities amounted to €338.998.
393 new users were connected to the distribution network during May.
Last month, 23 new electronic meters were installed in Montenegro. The total number of metering points in Montenegro equipped with remotely controlled electronic meters is around 337,000, covering more than 80 per cent of consumption.
During May, contractors were selected to build two transformer stations with a voltage level of (10/0.4 kV) in the Podgorica area, at a cost of around €194,000. A contractor was also selected last month to build the “Vrševo II” transformer station (10/0.4 kV) in Petnjica. The value of this project is around €49,000.
