Users of the electricity distribution system took a total of 212.575.345 kWh of electricity in June, which is as much as 20 percent more than in the same period of the previous year. The largest share of electricity, around 36 percent, was distributed to users in the area of Podgorica, Danilovgrad and Cetinje (Region 2).
A total of 393.944 meters were read, or 94 percent of the total number (unread metering points are located in buildings that are not permanently occupied). The meter reading rate at metering points equipped with new electronic meters is 99 percent.
In June, the Maintenance Sector teams carried out field interventions 2,088 times. The value of maintenance work on electricity infrastructure facilities amounted to 298,235 euros.
680 new users were connected to the distribution network in June.
Last month, 52 new electronic meters were installed in Montenegro. The total number of metering points in Montenegro equipped with remotely controlled electronic meters is around 337,000, covering more than 80 percent of the customer base.
At the level of the primary distribution network, a project worth 152,000 euros to ground the neutral point of the 35 kV network in Mojkovac is underway. In addition, preparatory work began in June on the project to construct a power line from the “Zagorič” substation to the T-junction, with a projected cost of around 200,000 euros. Construction of the 10 kV underground line in Tivat (Župa – Marići) and reconstruction of the “Marići” substation, worth 23,000 euros, are in their final stages.
