24 per cent less electricity consumed

Users of the electricity distribution system consumed a total of 188,778,119 kWh of electricity in April, around 24 per cent less than in March.

The largest share of electricity, almost 39 per cent, was distributed to users in the areas of Podgorica, Danilovgrad and Cetinje (Region 2).

A total of 352,879 metering points were read in the previous month, or 90 per cent of the total number (unread metering points are located in properties that are not permanently occupied). The reading rate for metering points equipped with new electronic meters is 99 per cent.

In April, the Maintenance Sector teams carried out 1,815 field interventions. The value of works on the maintenance of electricity infrastructure amounted to around 285 thousand euros.

In the previous month, 460 outages due to planned network works were announced across the entire territory of Montenegro. The average outage duration was around 3.4 hours. We remind users that planned works are carried out to ensure a higher-quality and more reliable electricity supply, and users are informed daily about work schedules through the media, the website and the Facebook page.

The final phase is under way of the project to build the €2 million „Novi Ulcinj“ 35/10 kV transformer substation. In April, works worth €50,000 were also completed on the replacement and installation of transformers at the „Unač“ and „Šavnik“ 35/10 kV transformer substations. In the Danilovgrad municipality, works on the reconstruction of the low-voltage network in Mamućevina were also completed in April.

During April, 181 new electronic meters were installed across Montenegro. The total number of metering points in Montenegro equipped with remotely controlled electronic meters is around 272,000, covering approximately 70 per cent of consumption.

In the previous month, 341 new users were connected to the distribution network.
