30 Per Cent More Energy Taken in December

Users of the electricity distribution system took a total of 267,173,970 kWh of electricity in December, around thirty per cent more than in November.

The largest share of electricity, or almost 42 per cent, was distributed to users in the areas of Podgorica, Danilovgrad and Cetinje (Region 2).

A total of 357,866 metering points were read in the previous month, or 91 per cent of the total number (unread metering points are located in properties that are not permanently occupied). The reading rate for metering points equipped with new electronic meters is 98.2 per cent.

In December, the Maintenance Sector teams carried out 1,520 field interventions. The value of works to maintain electricity facilities amounted to around EUR 522,000.

During December, work continued on nine investment projects with a total value of around EUR 1.186 million, with the largest share of funding allocated to investment in the secondary network in the municipality of Ulcinj. A project worth EUR 143,000 is also under way, involving the reconstruction of nine 10/0.4 kV transformer stations in the areas of Ulcinj, Bar and Budva. In the area of Nikšić, construction is under way on a 10/0.4 kV transformer station in Boška Jankovića Street, with a value of around EUR 70,000. Construction is also under way in the area of Ulcinj on the 10/0.4 kV “Pistula3” transformer station, for which around EUR 73,000 has been allocated. Works on eight investment projects with a total value of around EUR 364,000 were also completed during December.

In the previous month, 5,978 new electronic meters were installed across Montenegro. The total number of metering points in Montenegro equipped with remotely controlled electronic meters is around 296,000, covering approximately 75 per cent of consumption.

In December, 542 new users were connected to the distribution network.
