Elektroprivreda Crne Gore, Crnogorski elektrodistributivni sistem, Rudnik uglja Pljevlja and the Clinical Centre of Montenegro have signed a four-year Agreement on financing projects at Montenegro’s largest healthcare institution, worth 300 thousand euros.
KCCG Director Jefto Eraković thanked the energy companies for their support to date, noting that the funds secured by the Agreement will enable a strategic approach to implementing projects that will contribute to modernisation, updating and improving the quality of services provided to patients.
– This is one of the largest donations to the Clinical Centre, and I hope that other businesses will follow the example of these three energy companies when it comes to socially responsible business practices – said Eraković.
Executive Director of Elektroprivreda Crne Gore Igor Noveljić said that the Agreement strengthens the cooperation that the energy companies already have with the Clinical Centre of Montenegro.
– Signing the Agreement is simply confirmation of our socially responsible approach to the healthcare system. I would like to point out that last month Elektroprivreda donated 60 thousand euros to the hospitals in Nikšić, Pljevlja and Bijelo Polje, with the aim of improving the quality of healthcare services for all our citizens – said Noveljić, adding that good business results will enable Elektroprivreda to provide long-term support to the community in various areas.
– Supporting the Clinical Centre in this way gives its management the opportunity to strategically assess projects that will enable better diagnostics, treatment and consultative services – said the Executive Director of Crnogorski elektrodistributivni sistem, Zoran Đkanović, noting that CEDIS, which has been operating independently for only three years, is already recognised as a socially responsible company, and that we have supported the Clinical Centre in implementing projects related to the Clinic for Anaesthesiology, Resuscitation and Pain Therapy, the Clinic for Gynaecology and Obstetrics, and the Institute for Children’s Diseases.
– It is particularly gratifying that Rudnik uglja is once again part of a project that helps improve the quality of services at the Clinical Centre of Montenegro, as it was two years ago. Our support for the healthcare system is focused on the healthcare institution in Pljevlja, which we assist every year. This year, for example, we enabled them to purchase an ultrasound machine – said the Executive Director of Rudnik uglja, Slavoljub Popadić, adding that the company will continue to support healthcare institutions in Montenegro in the coming period, particularly in Pljevlja.
The energy company managers also noted that, although these three companies pay close to 100 million euros annually into Montenegro’s budget, they feel the need to provide additional support for projects aimed at improving the quality of healthcare services for all our citizens
