Users of the electricity distribution system consumed a total of 240,727,175 kWh of electricity in March, in line with February consumption and four per cent higher than in March of the previous year. The largest share of electricity, around 40 per cent, was distributed to users in the areas of Podgorica, Danilovgrad and Cetinje (Region 2).
A total of 387,937 meters were read, or 94 per cent of the total number (unread metering points are located in buildings that are not permanently occupied). The meter reading rate at metering points equipped with new electronic meters is 99 per cent.
In March, the Maintenance Sector teams responded in the field 1819 times. The value of work on the maintenance of electricity infrastructure assets amounted to €280,033.
353 new users were connected to the distribution network in March.
Last month, 235 new electronic meters were installed across Montenegro. Around 337,000 metering points in Montenegro are equipped with remotely managed electronic meters, covering more than 80 per cent of electricity consumption.
In March, the project to replace conductors on four 35 kV overhead lines along the coast was completed, with around €2.6 million allocated for the work (35 kV lines: TS 110/35 kV Bar – TS 35/10 kV Sutomore; TS 110/35 kV Ulcinj – TS 35/10 kV Velika Plaža1; TS 110/35 kV Markovići-TS 35/10 kV Miločer; TS 110/35 kV Podi-TS 35/10 kV Topla). At the secondary network level, work was completed on the construction of the 10/0.4 kV substation “Rena” in Bar, as well as on sections of the low-voltage networks in the areas of Ulcinj, Podgorica and Pljevlja. The total value of the work described amounts to around €165,000. Preparatory activities are also underway at the secondary network level for the implementation of 18 investment projects, valued at €1.85 million.
