AROUND EUR 200,000 INVESTED IN NETWORK MAINTENANCE IN SEPTEMBER

In September, users of the electricity distribution system consumed a total of 204,711,089 kWh of electricity, seven per cent more than during the same period of the previous year. The largest share of electricity, around 35 per cent, was distributed to users in the areas of Podgorica, Danilovgrad, Tuzi and Cetinje (Region 2).

A total of 402,675 meters, or 94 per cent of all meters, were read (unread metering points are located in buildings that are not permanently occupied). The meter-reading rate at metering points equipped with new electronic meters is 99 per cent.

In September, the Maintenance Sector teams carried out 1,844 field interventions. The value of works to maintain electricity infrastructure facilities amounted to around 199 thousand euros

A total of 396 new users were connected to the distribution network in September.

In September, projects worth EUR 660,000 were completed on the primary network, with the largest share of funds allocated to equipment and works at the 35/10 kV “Gorica A” substation. Preparations are also under way for works worth EUR 190,000 to install two new 8 MVA transformers at the 35/10 kV “Igalo” substation. Works are also under way to reconstruct the 35 kV “Guke-Mataruge” overhead line, for which CEDIS is allocating around EUR 500,000. Once completed, the network quality and security of supply for a large part of the Pljevlja municipality will be significantly improved. Works have also been completed on the construction of the 10/0.4 kV “No. 1 – New” substation (under the “Konik – Stari Aerodrom III” DUP) and the relocation of the 10/0.4 kV “IV (Stanovi-New)” substation, with its integration into the network in Žabljak. The value of these projects is around EUR 235,000.

Last month, 421 new electronic meters were installed across Montenegro. The total number of metering points in Montenegro equipped with remotely managed electronic meters is around 339,000, covering approximately 80 per cent of consumption.
