Representatives of the City Theatre and the Montenegrin Electricity Distribution System (CEDIS) signed a sponsorship agreement today.
The signatories to this important document were the City Theatre’s Artistic Director, Dušan Kovačević, and CEDIS Head of Corporate Communications, Marija Jovović, MA, who expressed her satisfaction with the continuation of cooperation with our theatre.
– Recognising the importance of cultural creativity, and theatre in particular, the Montenegrin Electricity Distribution System continues to support cultural institutions. Through its work and artistic creativity, the City Theatre Podgorica has earned our support. We are especially proud to have enabled the award-winning original production „Kozocid“ by Vida Ognjenović to take part in the 36th Theatre Meetings of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Cultural and theatrical life must be supported by the community, and CEDIS will continue to provide its support in the period ahead, Jovović said.
Artistic Director Dušan Kovačević thanked CEDIS for recognising the City Theatre as an important cultural institution and highlighted the importance of the support theatre companies receive from socially responsible businesses.
– Once again, CEDIS, as a socially responsible company, has demonstrated an exceptional sense of belonging to our country’s cultural community. This donation has enabled the City Theatre to strengthen its position on the regional map, and our cooperation will continue through the RUTA project. Its first festival, RUTA PODGORICA, will take place from 2 to 7 March 2020, followed by Ljubljana in April, Sarajevo in May, Brioni in August, Skopje in October and Belgrade in December. We hope CEDIS will continue to support us, to our mutual satisfaction. We would like to express our heartfelt thanks, Kovačević said.
