Through its responsible approach to society, the Montenegrin Electricity Distribution System continues to improve and support important aspects of life, thereby contributing to a better quality of life both for individuals and for the community as a whole.
Yesterday in Risan, a donation was presented to the “Vaso Ćuković” Special Hospital for Orthopaedics, Neurosurgery and Neurology, a testament to the Company’s commitment to making the healthcare system one of its priorities when investing in the community in which CEDIS operates.
The donation agreement, worth EUR 3,630, for the purchase of two Titanox sterilizers, was signed by Vladimir Ivanović, Acting Executive Director of the Montenegrin Electricity Distribution System, and Dr Vlado Popović, Director of the “Vaso Ćuković” Special Hospital for Orthopaedics, Neurosurgery and Neurology.
“Our Company strives to contribute to the well-being of society not only by providing a high-quality electricity distribution service, which is our core business, but also by being ready to help everyone working for the benefit of Montenegrin society. Healthcare institutions such as the Hospital in Risan are undoubtedly of primary importance to our community. Since its founding, the “Vaso Ćuković” Hospital has been renowned for its expertise and the quality of its services, which makes us all the more pleased to be part of this story. Giving to others and giving for the benefit of the community are fundamental human values, and by investing in this healthcare institution we also preserve the memory of its founder and benefactor, Vaso Ćuković, for whom giving to others was a guiding principle in life. I believe that purchasing the sterilizers for which the funds have been allocated will further improve the quality of the hospital’s services,” said Vladimir Ivanović, Executive Director of CEDIS.
The Director of the “Vaso Ćuković” Special Hospital for Orthopaedics, Neurosurgery and Neurology, Dr Vlado Popović, thanked CEDIS for its support and expressed particular satisfaction that the donated funds would be used to purchase essential equipment.
“The donation has fulfilled its mission and met our institution’s expectations. The donated funds will help raise the quality of healthcare services provided to our patients and improve working conditions for our employees. You have recognised our needs, as well as those of other healthcare institutions in Montenegro. Your social responsibility, demonstrated in this way, benefits everyone. The purchase of sterilizers will further modernise the Special Hospital’s approach to treatment and create the conditions and environment befitting its reputation and the standard its patients deserve. Our professionalism and dedication to treating all patients are proof that the employees of our institution deserve good working conditions,” said Dr Popović, Director of the “Vaso Ćuković” Special Hospital for Orthopaedics, Neurosurgery and Neurology.
Last year, CEDIS also allocated a donation of more than EUR 8,000 to the “Vaso Ćuković” Hospital, supporting the institution’s efforts to purchase essential instruments for spinal surgery. It should not be forgotten that the hospital itself was built thanks to a donation from one of the greatest benefactors from our region, Vaso Ćuković, whose name it bears.
Since its establishment eight years ago, the Montenegrin Electricity Distribution System has supported community development in various ways, paying particular attention to the healthcare system. We note that this year, through various projects, CEDIS has also provided assistance and support to the Capital City Health Centre, the Oncology and Radiology Clinic, the Clinical Centre of Montenegro, and other institutions, in addition to the “Vaso Ćuković” Hospital.
