This year, CEDIS will once again provide financial support to the Chess Federation of Montenegro, reaffirming its stable partnership with the umbrella institution of Montenegrin chess. This year’s sponsorship is worth EUR 4,500 and will be primarily directed towards organising two European championships, at which the Chess Federation will host some of the world’s best chess players.

Since the company’s establishment, CEDIS has been firmly committed to directing a portion of its funds towards the development and promotion of chess through socially responsible activities. Excellent results, crowned by the best-ever performance by Montenegrin chess players at last year’s Chess Olympiad in India, have further motivated and strengthened its resolve to continue its cooperation with the Chess Federation in the years ahead.

– At CEDIS, we are extremely proud of our partnership with the Chess Federation. In addition to the outstanding results, what further motivates us to cooperate is the Federation’s commitment to promoting chess among younger generations, as well as the exceptional results you are achieving in this area. When planning our socially responsible activities, we strive to establish stable, long-term partnerships that genuinely bring about positive change in the community, and the relationship we have built with the Chess Federation over the years is exactly that. I am confident that you will continue to achieve outstanding results, and that CEDIS will remain a supporter and partner you can always rely on – said Vladimir Čađenović, Executive Director of CEDIS, at the signing of the sponsorship agreement with the Chess Federation of Montenegro.

– The longstanding friendship between the Chess Federation and CEDIS has been marked by the success, development and progress of this ancient game in Montenegro. It is a great privilege for one of the country’s most successful companies to support our initiatives, and we are proud to note that CEDIS has primarily partnered with activities involving young chess players. Last year, your company sponsored the Montenegrin Youth Championship and the final tournament of the Cadet Championship, in which almost 400 young chess players took part throughout the competition cycle. CEDIS was also a key partner in organising two highly significant international competitions: the European School Chess Cup and the Balkan Youth Championship. We hope that this successful cooperation will continue in the future, to the benefit of Montenegrin chess, and that special attention will continue to be devoted to emerging young champions, who will one day be the finest representatives of both our chess community and society as a whole – emphasised Jovan Milović, President of the Chess Federation of Montenegro.
CEDIS is a company with a strong commitment to social responsibility, as evidenced by the numerous awards it has received, including those for corporate social responsibility presented by the Employers’ Union and the Chamber of Commerce. CEDIS’s strategy identifies several priority areas supported through the company’s socially responsible activities, with the greatest attention and funding directed towards supporting the healthcare and education systems, as well as sport.
