The Montenegrin Electricity Distribution System donated 25 thousand euros to the Clinical Centre of Montenegro, further confirming the company’s commitment to social responsibility, as well as its successful cooperation with Montenegro’s largest healthcare institution. This year’s donation continues the implementation of a four-year Agreement signed with the Clinical Centre at the end of 2019, under which CEDIS committed to donating 25 thousand euros annually to this healthcare institution through 2023.
Since 2017, including this year’s donation, CEDIS has donated more than 160 thousand euros to the Clinical Centre.
– As I have pointed out on several occasions, CEDIS’s core business principle is commitment to and care for the community. The way we put this into practice at CEDIS involves mutual understanding and cooperation with the environment in which we operate, as well as identifying and permanently resolving problems. This form of cooperation provides the Clinical Centre with funds it can count on in advance and use to plan its activities. That is precisely our intention: to serve as a reliable source of support to the community in which we operate. An integral part of CEDIS’s social responsibility strategy is ongoing support for the healthcare sector, and I believe that our cooperation will continue to be just as successful and fruitful in the future – said Vladimir Čađenović, CEDIS Executive Director.
Dr Ljiljana Radulović, Director of the Clinical Centre of Montenegro, thanked CEDIS for its support of Montenegro’s healthcare system.
– As a donor, CEDIS is one of the most actively involved socially responsible companies at the Clinical Centre of Montenegro, which treats around 70 per cent of patients across the country. In particular, thanks in part to donations from CEDIS, we are now just a few days away from opening the renovated Clinic for Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery. I would like to remind you that this is the first renovation of this clinic since 1974. In addition, the donation will also go to the gynaecology and ophthalmology departments. I thank CEDIS, hope our successful cooperation will continue, and invite everyone else to follow this example – said Dr Ljiljana Radulović.
Donations made in previous years were used to establish a Baby-Friendly Unit at the Clinic for Gynaecology and Obstetrics, purchase a paediatric cardiac ultrasound machine for the Institute for Children’s Diseases, and acquire syringe pumps for the Clinic for Anaesthesia, Resuscitation and Pain Therapy. This year’s donation, like last year’s, of 25 thousand euros from CEDIS will be used to continue renovation works at the Clinic for Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery.
