The Montenegrin Electricity Distribution System today donated €25,000 to the Clinical Center of Montenegro, thereby further reaffirming the company’s socially responsible commitment and successful cooperation with Montenegro’s largest healthcare institution. Since 2017, including this year’s donation, CEDIS has donated €130,000 to the Clinical Center.
– This donation represents the continuation of the implementation of the four-year Agreement we signed with the Clinical Center at the end of 2019, committing to donate €25,000 annually to this healthcare institution through 2023. This form of cooperation provides the Clinical Center with a donation it can count on in advance and plan its activities accordingly. At CEDIS, we take a strategic approach to socially responsible activities. We strive to ensure that our support for the community in which we operate involves careful planning and continuity, as today’s donation confirms. Support for Montenegrin healthcare has also been, and I am sure will continue to be, a particular area of interest for us – said Magdalena Vukčević, Head of the Human Resources, General Affairs and Corporate Communications Sector.

The Clinical Center’s Medical Director, Dr Zoran Terzić, Doctor of Medical Sciences, first expressed his gratitude for the support and noted his particular satisfaction that the donated funds would be used to carry out construction, finishing and electrical works at the Center for Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, which has not received significant investment to date.
– When the Agreement with CEDIS, as well as with EPCG and RUP, was signed, none of us could have anticipated the challenge humanity would face. Today, we are all aware that this donation has fulfilled its mission and justified not only the expectations of the donors and our institution, but also the vision of the Clinical Center of Montenegro as an institution of national importance. The donated funds contribute to the modernization of the Clinical Center of Montenegro and, consequently, to raising the quality of healthcare services provided to our patients and improving working conditions for our employees. I am confident that all those in a position to demonstrate social responsibility in this way for the benefit of everyone will follow your example. The professionalism, dedication and commitment shown in treating all our patients, particularly evident since the emergence of COVID-19, prove that Clinical Center employees deserve the best working conditions and due respect – Dr Terzić said, once again thanking CEDIS for its valuable donation.

Donations made in previous years were used to establish a Baby-Friendly ward at the Clinic for Gynaecology and Obstetrics, purchase a paediatric cardiac ultrasound machine for the Institute for Children’s Diseases, and acquire syringe pumps for the Clinic for Anaesthesia, Resuscitation and Pain Therapy. Last year’s CEDIS donation of €25,000 to the Clinical Center was used for the Center for Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery.
