The Montenegrin Electricity Distribution System (CEDIS) continues to support educational institutions through socially responsible activities. This time, CEDIS donated funds to “Maksim Gorki” Primary School in Podgorica, which will be used to procure LED panels needed to improve working conditions in classrooms.
The LED panels to be procured through this donation will significantly improve the conditions for children in classrooms, creating a more pleasant and healthier environment. Providing modern and energy-efficient lighting, these panels ensure an even distribution of light, reducing eye strain for pupils. LED panels have a long service life and lower energy consumption, resulting in long-term savings while also ensuring a more comfortable and safer environment for children.
CEDIS Executive Director Vladimir Ivanović emphasised that this year’s focus as part of the company’s socially responsible business practices is on contributing to the well-being of the youngest members of society, and that in the coming period the company will pay particular attention to initiatives aimed at helping improve children’s living conditions.
“CEDIS is committed to supporting the local community, particularly educational institutions, because we believe that quality education is the foundation of social development. We are especially pleased that this donation contributes to energy efficiency, one of the principles guiding our Company’s operations. Modernising lighting in schools is not only an investment in better working conditions, but also a step towards more responsible use of resources, environmental protection and, most importantly, creating a healthier and more pleasant environment for children,” said Ivanović.
The Director of “Maksim Gorki” Primary School, Tigran Dobrašinović, thanked CEDIS for its support and highlighted the significance of the donation for the school.
“This financial assistance enables us to modernise classroom lighting, which will significantly improve conditions for work and learning. The LED panels will provide better lighting tailored to pupils’ needs, thereby improving their concentration and reducing fatigue. In addition, switching to energy-efficient lighting will help the school reduce its electricity costs. We thank CEDIS for this valuable donation and for recognising the importance of investing in education,” said Dobrašinović.
CEDIS will continue to invest in projects that help improve educational conditions, modernise teaching spaces and create a better environment for pupils.
