With the aim of developing the electricity distribution network and recognising the importance of a reliable, high-quality electricity supply for customers, CEDIS invested over €35 million in the past year. Compared with 2024, investment in the network increased by as much as €8 million, demonstrating the company’s intensive efforts and commitment to achieving its targets in line with the planned programme.
Highlighting the investment figures, we wish to note that almost €12 million of the total amount was invested solely in the secondary network (10 kV and 0.4 kV networks), within the remit of the Maintenance Sector, as one of the key tasks in ensuring quality of supply. Most of this amount (over €7 million) was spent on investment works aimed at increasing network capacity, replacing obsolete equipment and installing new equipment.
Although the previous year began with adverse weather conditions for carrying out planned work, nearly 11,000 poles and 541 km of aerial bundled cable were successfully installed through dedicated and hard work. In addition to these planned activities, substantial funds were spent on emergency maintenance during the year, and justified customer requests were met (approximately €4 million). These figures also show that the Maintenance Plan was successfully implemented across all seven regions, with actual delivery exceeding the projected level.
We would also like to note that, through the Maintenance Plan, investment activities accounted for the vast majority of work, while emergency activities made up a considerably smaller share—something that had not been the case before. Annual investment reports therefore show a steady decline in spending on emergency work and an increase in funds allocated to investment works.
Through professional planning and clearly defined strategic objectives, we are achieving ever-higher standards in the delivery of electricity to end users, which is our company’s top priority.
