The Montenegrin Electricity Distribution System is this year’s recipient of the Corporate Social Responsibility Award presented by the Employers’ Union of Montenegro (UPCG).
The awards are presented to small, medium-sized and large enterprises in the categories of Care for Employees, Care for the Environment and Care for the Community.
CEDIS received the award for corporate social responsibility in the area of Care for the Community, in the large-enterprise category. The award was presented to Marija Jovović, Head of CEDIS’s Corporate Communications Department, by Miomir M. Mugoša, Director of the Tax Administration of Montenegro.
On behalf of CEDIS, Jovović thanked the Employers’ Union for the award, noting that it was an award for all employees and an additional motivation for future corporate social responsibility activities.
“Corporate social responsibility is an integral part of our corporate policy and business strategy. Together, all of us at CEDIS have managed, in just over a year since our company began operating as an independent enterprise, to make a significant contribution to the development of our society, as this award also confirms.
Clear objectives, a vision and team spirit have certainly also contributed to this achievement, motivating us to support and carry out activities in education, culture, healthcare, sport and support for individuals. We will continue to support the community in the coming period and, in this way, contribute to the development of society,” said Jovović.
The main criteria used by UPCG in selecting the award recipients were sustainability, innovation and the impact achieved for all stakeholders. The awards aim to promote examples of good corporate social responsibility practice, as well as enterprises that develop and implement such practices.
