Users of the electricity distribution system consumed a total of 269,669,841 kWh of electricity in July, which is as much as 20 per cent more than in June and four per cent more than the energy consumed during the same period of the previous year. The largest share of electricity, around 35 per cent, was distributed to users in the areas of Podgorica, Danilovgrad, Tuzi and Cetinje (Region 2).

A total of 402,546 meters, or 94 per cent of the total number, were read (unread metering points are located in buildings that are not permanently occupied). The meter-reading rate at metering points equipped with new electronic meters is 99 per cent.
In July, the Maintenance Sector teams carried out 2,029 field interventions. The value of maintenance works on electricity infrastructure facilities amounted to around EUR 279,000.
286 new users were connected to the distribution network in July.
During July, at the primary network level, the procurement and replacement of plant components at the 35/10 kV Gornja Zeta substation was completed, at a cost of EUR 133,000. Works worth EUR 1 million are also under way to reconstruct four 35 kV overhead lines: “Medanovoći – Vrelo” and “Vrelo – Čokrlije” in Bijelo Polje, “Buljarica – Virpazar – Podgor” and “Guke – Mataruge” in Pljevlja. Contracts worth EUR 480,000 were also signed in the previous month for the procurement and installation of six transformers at substations with a voltage level of 35/10 kV: “Novi Obod”, “Velika Plaža 2”, “Igalo” and “Dobrota”. At the secondary network level, work was completed on ten projects, for which EUR 980,000 was budgeted; the most costly for the company was the construction of the 10 kV line “Klinci-Arza”.
In the previous month, 70 new electronic meters were installed across Montenegro. The total number of metering points in Montenegro equipped with remotely controlled electronic meters is around 339,000, covering approximately 80 per cent of the customer base.
