Decrease in Consumption in April

Users of the electricity distribution system consumed a total of 239,139,579 kWh of electricity in April, 13.16 percent less than in March, while the figure was 2.50 percent lower than in April last year.

The largest amount of electricity, around 34 percent, was distributed to users in the areas of Podgorica, Danilovgrad, Tuzi and Cetinje (Region 2).

A total of 444,882 meters were read, representing 94.5 percent of the total. The unread metering points are located in buildings that are not permanently occupied. The meter-reading rate at metering points equipped with new electronic meters was 98.62 percent.

In April, the Maintenance Sector teams carried out 1,923 field interventions. The value of maintenance work on power facilities on the secondary network amounted to around 147 thousand euros.

A total of 769 new users were connected to the distribution network in April.

Last month, 1,031 new electronic meters were installed across Montenegro. The total number of metering points in Montenegro equipped with electronic remote-control meters is around 383,138 thousand, covering more than 82 percent of consumption.
