Discussion on Improving Cooperation between the Municipality of Rožaje and CEDIS

Development plans and programmes, resolving electricity supply issues, mutual obligations and ways of addressing certain outstanding matters, as well as improving cooperation between the local government in Rožaje and the Montenegrin Electricity Distribution System, were the topics of a discussion held today in Podgorica between CEDIS Executive Director Vladimir Čađenović and President of the Municipality of Rožaje Rahman Husović.

It was agreed that the Municipality of Rožaje would provide CEDIS with a list of priority issues that could be addressed jointly in order to improve the quality of electricity supply to customers in the Rožaje service area. Reliable, high-quality electricity supply for all citizens of Montenegro is CEDIS’s priority and mission.

An agreement in principle was also reached on settling the outstanding amounts owed by the municipality to the Montenegrin Electricity Distribution System, which are placing a burden on its operations.

Director Čađenović expressed his full readiness to find the best solution to this issue, one that would contribute to the financial stability of the local government, and to establish closer, operational cooperation in the mutual interest of both parties.
