First Meeting of the CEDIS Board of Directors Held

The first inaugural meeting of the Board of Directors of Crnogorski elektrodistributivni sistem DOO Podgorica (CEDIS) was held today in Podgorica. Miodrag Čanović was appointed President of the Board, Zoran Đukanović Executive Director, and Magdalena Vukčević Company Secretary.

This meeting was preceded by yesterday’s meeting of the EPCG Board of Directors, at which five members of the CEDIS Board were appointed on behalf of the founder. At the proposal of the Government of Montenegro, Zoran Đukanović, Snežana Šljukić and Miodrag Čanović were appointed. Aleksandar Mitrović and Đorđo Kasaloti were appointed as Board members at the proposal of the company’s strategic partner, A2A.

In accordance with the Law on the Implementation of the Agreement on Creating the Conditions for Free and Fair Elections (Lex Specialis), Mr Dejan Mijović is also a member of this Board.

We would like to remind you that, on 23 June, the EPCG Shareholders’ Assembly adopted a decision to establish the limited liability company “Crnogorski elektrodistributivni sistem” Podgorica – CEDIS. The founder of the Company is Elektroprivreda Crne Gore, which holds 100 per cent ownership. The Company will carry out electricity distribution activities within Montenegro’s unified power system. In accordance with the rules of the Energy Regulatory Agency, the founder is transferring to the Company the licence to operate as a distribution system operator. By being spun off from EPCG, CEDIS has also become one of the largest companies in Montenegro, with more than 1,300 employees. The Company is an independent legal entity with management responsibilities and will be liable for its obligations with all its assets, valued at approximately EUR 280 million.
