Half a Million for Maintenance and Investment Projects

In February, users of the electricity distribution system consumed a total of 240,452,723 kWh of electricity, around seven per cent less than in January and around seven per cent more than in February last year.

The largest amount of electricity, or almost 41 per cent, was distributed to users in the areas of Podgorica, Danilovgrad and Cetinje (Region 2).

A total of 347,384 metering points were read last month, or 90 per cent of the total number (unread metering points are located in buildings that are not permanently occupied). The reading rate for metering points equipped with new electronic meters is 99 per cent.

In February, the Maintenance Sector teams carried out 1,640 field interventions. The value of maintenance works on electricity infrastructure facilities amounted to around €298,000.

In addition, investment projects worth around €238,000 were completed in February. Last month, the replacement and installation of transformers (1.6 MVA – 1.6 megavolt-amperes) in three 35/10 kV transformer substations (Bioče, Odžaci and Brezna), valued at €73,000, was completed. Works worth €128,000 on grounding the neutral point of the 10 kV network at the “Tuzi” 35/10 transformer substation were also completed in February. In Kotor, works were completed on the construction of the “Škaljari – IV” 10/0.4 kV transformer substation (€37,000).

Last month, 295 power supply interruptions were announced across the territory of Montenegro due to planned network works. The average duration of an interruption was around 2.51 hours. We remind users that planned works are carried out to ensure a higher quality and more reliable electricity supply, and that users are informed daily about the work schedules through the media, the website and the Facebook page.

In February, 921 new electronic meters were installed in Montenegro. The total number of metering points in Montenegro equipped with remotely controlled electronic meters is around 270,000, covering around 70 per cent of the service area.

Last month, 442 new users were connected to the distribution network.
