Handball Federation of Montenegro and CEDIS Continue Their Cooperation

The Handball Federation of Montenegro (RSCG) and the Montenegrin Electricity Distribution System (CEDIS) are continuing their cooperation. A new sponsorship agreement was signed at the Federation’s offices by Petar Kapisoda, head of Montenegro’s “house of handball”, and Zoran Đukanović, CEDIS’s Executive Director.

This is the third sponsorship agreement RSCG has concluded this year, providing further confirmation that socially responsible companies recognise the results and activities the Federation is pursuing to improve the quality of domestic competitions and promote the country as effectively as possible on the international stage.

“This is the third sponsorship agreement we have concluded this year, and the second we have renewed with our established partners. This is also the case with CEDIS, with whom we have enjoyed exceptional cooperation since the new Federation leadership took office. I would like to reiterate what I have said several times: it is particularly gratifying to renew cooperation with a partner, as this confirms that it has been successful in the past period, built on solid foundations, and has room to progress to an even higher level in the future. Given the situation the entire world has faced over the past year, this has, by circumstance, become an Olympic year. It is well known that this presents the greatest challenge for all national federations, particularly those with high ambitions, which is undoubtedly true of ours. Therefore, I believe we can look forward with considerable optimism to 19 March and the start of the women’s handball qualification tournament. I am confident that afterwards, together with our friends at CEDIS and our other partners, we will be able to celebrate securing a ticket to Tokyo and taking part in the world’s largest gathering of athletes,” Kapisoda said.

CEDIS Executive Director Zoran Đukanović said that, as a socially responsible company, CEDIS views the development of sport as part of the overall development of society, since sport, in addition to competition, has important educational, health, cultural and social value.

“We are especially pleased to continue our cooperation with the Handball Federation of Montenegro, which has achieved significant results in developing and promoting handball in our country. Its results in international competitions have earned the attention and respect of the global handball community. The handball teams have always been characterised by team spirit, determination, courage and perseverance. We therefore hope that our support will enable you to work and prepare under even better conditions, and contribute to continuing the tradition of achieving the best possible results. I believe we will see our women’s national team at the Olympic Games in Tokyo, our men’s handball team at next year’s European Championship, and that the Federation, as well as Montenegro, will prove to be good hosts of the European Women’s Under-17 Championship. CEDIS always invests in the right values and supports the best. With all my heart, I wish us shared joy in the national teams’ successes at upcoming international competitions and in promoting handball and our country,” Đukanović said.
