In March, users of the electricity distribution system took a total of 259,296,520 kWh of electricity, seven per cent more than the consumption recorded during the same period last year. The largest share of electricity, around 40 per cent, was distributed to users in the areas of Podgorica, Danilovgrad, Tuzi and Cetinje (Region 2).
A total of 395,073 meters, or 93 per cent of all meters, were read (unread metering points are located in buildings that are not permanently inhabited). The meter reading rate at metering points equipped with new electronic meters is 99 per cent.
In March, the Maintenance Sector teams carried out 2,434 field interventions. The value of maintenance works on electricity infrastructure facilities amounted to around €337,000.
A total of 1,072 new users were connected to the distribution network in March.
Last month, works worth €50,000 to relocate the low-voltage network in the Ulcinj area were completed. Work is under way to reconstruct the 35 kV “Ribarevine–Šćepanica” power line, for which €217,000 has been allocated. In addition, a public procurement procedure is under way for the construction of the “Tri Krsta” 35/10 kV substation in Tivat, estimated to cost around €2 million.
Last month, 23 new electronic meters were installed in Montenegro. Around 338,000 metering points in Montenegro are now equipped with remotely controlled electronic meters, covering more than 80 per cent of the customer base.
