The Board of Directors of Crnogorski elektrodistributivni sistem DOO Podgorica (CEDIS) today elected Miodrag Čanović as Chairman of the Company’s Board of Directors at its first constitutive session.

The new composition of the Board of Directors of Crnogorski elektrodistributivni sistem comprises: Miodrag Čanović, Zoran Đukanović, Dragan Laketić, Ivan Mitrović and Emil Đokić.
The new members of the Board, compared with the previous composition, are Ivan Mitrović and Emil Đokić.
Čanović graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the University of Montenegro in 1977. He began his professional career at the Nikšić Ironworks in 1977. He has served as Assistant Minister for Energy in the ministry responsible for energy affairs since 2004. He has also worked on and actively contributed to the implementation of several major energy projects. He was a member of the Board of Directors of Elektroprivreda Crne Gore from June 2008. He was first elected Chairman of the Board of Directors of Crnogorski elektrodistributivni sistem in June 2016.
In June 2016, CEDIS was separated from Elektroprivreda Crne Gore and has since operated as an independent legal entity licensed to operate as a distribution system operator. CEDIS’s core activities are the distribution of electricity and the construction and maintenance of distribution facilities and the network. CEDIS distributes electricity to more than 380,000 customers across Montenegro.
