Users of the electricity distribution system consumed a total of 265,256,215 kWh of electricity in August, around eight per cent more than in July.
The largest share of electricity, or almost 33 per cent, was distributed to users in the areas of Podgorica, Danilovgrad and Cetinje (Region 2).
A total of 373,287 metering points were read in the previous month, or 93 per cent of the total (unread metering points are located in buildings that are not permanently occupied). The reading rate at metering points equipped with new electronic meters is 99 per cent.
In August, the Maintenance Department teams carried out field interventions on 1,847 occasions. The value of maintenance works on electricity facilities amounted to around €303,935 thousand.
In August, work was completed in Tuzi and Cetinje on the construction of two electricity distribution facilities, with a value of around €93 thousand. In the previous month, activities also began to obtain the necessary documentation for the construction of 22 medium- and low-voltage facilities, with a total value of around €1.312 million. The necessary documentation is also being obtained for the construction of the 35/10 kV “Velje Brdo” substation and a 10 kV switchgear at the 110/10 kV Kličevo substation, for which an amount of €1.95 million has been allocated.
757 new users were connected to the distribution network in August.
In the previous month, 1,764 new electronic meters were installed across Montenegro. The total number of metering points in Montenegro equipped with remotely controlled electronic meters is around 315,000, covering around 78 per cent of the electricity consumption.
