In April, users of the electricity distribution system took a total of 231,008,193 kWh of electricity, 10 per cent less than their consumption in March and four per cent more than the energy taken during the same period of the previous year. The largest amount of electricity, around 35 per cent, was distributed to users in the areas of Podgorica, Danilovgrad, Tuzi and Cetinje (Region 2).
A total of 397,132 meters were read, or 93 per cent of the total number (unread metering points are located in buildings that are not permanently occupied). The meter-reading rate at metering points equipped with new electronic meters is 99 per cent.
In April, the Maintenance Sector teams carried out 2,058 field interventions. The value of maintenance work on electricity facilities amounted to around 256 thousand euros.
During April, 172 new users were connected to the distribution network.
During the previous month, contracts were signed for the procurement of six transformers for 35/10 kV substations in the areas of Cetinje, Ulcinj, Herceg Novi and Kotor, with a total value of around 484 thousand euros. Nine projects were completed at the secondary network level, with the largest amount of funding, around 115 thousand euros, allocated to the construction of an NDTS 10/0.4 kV transformer station (in accordance with the “University Centre” Detailed Urban Plan) in Podgorica.
During the previous month, 19 new electronic meters were installed in Montenegro. The total number of metering points in Montenegro equipped with remotely managed electronic meters is around 338 thousand, covering more than 80 per cent of consumption.
