As part of its socially responsible activities, CEDIS donated eight thousand euros to the Podgorica primary schools “Maksim Gorki”, “Savo Pejanović” and “Radojica Perović”, and one thousand euros to the Secondary School of Construction and Geodesy “Inž. Marko Radović”. Activities focused on the education system have for many years been an integral part of CEDIS’s socially responsible strategy, with the intention of further strengthening support for educational processes in the period ahead.
On the occasion of the donations, Vladimir Čađenović, Executive Director of CEDIS, recalled the many projects the company has carried out in cooperation with Montenegrin schools and faculties:
„First of all, CEDIS organises and finances the only national competition in electrical engineering for students of Montenegrin secondary schools—Energy in the Wire. Last year, we also launched the “Energy—Underlined in Green” project, through which schools submit “green” projects to receive funding for their implementation. We are particularly proud of our cooperation with the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and the “Vaso Aligrudić” Electrical Engineering School, with which we have signed cooperation agreements to enable young people to acquire specific practical and theoretical knowledge within our company. In addition to this, there are numerous donation agreements thanks to which our schools have been equipped with more modern facilities. I would like to emphasise that CEDIS’s activities are complex and require the involvement of experts from numerous fields, which is why we strive to work closely with educational institutions to guide and train young people.“

The donated funds of three thousand euros to the “Maksim Gorki” Public Institution Primary School will be spent on modernising the IT and technology classrooms, equipping the computer room, and carrying out part of the works in the gymnasium. According to the school principal, Tigran Dobrašinović, the primary school is making efforts to organise practical classes that will engage students in studying mathematics, physics, technical education and IT.
„Thanks to CEDIS’s donation, we are well underway with equipping the technology workshop. Two large workbenches have been purchased, on which we will install tools for working with wood and simple metal structures. In addition, we are renovating a room in the gymnasium, so part of the funds will be spent on installing electrical wiring and beginning work on the walls and floors“, Dobrašinović stated.
Zoran Đukić, principal of the “Savo Pejanović” Public Institution Primary School, said that it is important for students to acquire knowledge in a modern way, which is why the school opted to purchase projectors.

The “Radojica Perović” Public Institution Primary School will also use the donation of two thousand euros to purchase computer equipment, as school principal Snežana Tomanović noted.
„We are currently purchasing laptops and two printers, projectors, projector screens and speakers. This is a very important donation for our school and will greatly facilitate work processes for teachers and classroom teachers, as well as students“, Tomanović said.
Miloš Marović, principal of the Public Institution Secondary School of Construction and Geodesy “Inž. Marko Radević”, thanked the CEDIS Board of Directors and Executive Director for the funds allocated, and said:
„We have directed the assistance towards improving the capacity of the computer classroom, primarily in order to provide the highest possible quality of instruction for the vocations taught at the school, some of which are in short supply but are essential to the labour market. As modular teaching has been implemented at the school since September 2020 and requires high-quality, modern computer equipment, we used the donated funds to purchase three desktop computer configurations without peripherals.“
