Due to adverse weather conditions, the works to connect the 35/10 kV “Novi Ulcinj” substation have been postponed, as have the deadlines for restoring surfaces in the Pinješ neighbourhood. According to the current plan, weather permitting, repairs to the roads in the Pinješ neighbourhood that were excavated during the preceding period will be completed by 11 May. Despite the poor weather conditions, a significant amount of work has been completed in the area near the 35/10 kV “Grad” substation. The plan also includes, weather permitting, laying a cable to the 35/10 kV “Grad” substation, as well as restoring surfaces from the roundabout to the aforementioned substation, thereby completing the laying of 4.2 km of 35 kV cable. Once these activities have been completed, the remaining work will be to lay two 10 kV lines towards Mala Plaža and Meterizi.
We appeal for your understanding and patience, as CEDIS is undertaking all necessary activities to complete the project as efficiently as possible. Its implementation is in the interest of all residents of Ulcinj.
We remind you that the works are being carried out to expedite completion of the construction of the 35/10 kV “Novi Ulcinj” substation, whose total value, including the cost of constructing three 35 kV and seven 10 kV cable lines, amounts to approximately two million euros.
We also remind you that construction of this facility will directly improve the quality of electricity supply for 3,073 customers in the areas of Pinješ, Nova Mahala, Meterizi, Pristan, and the Old Town, as well as at the Albatros, Mediteran and Holegro hotels. A further 5,527 customers in the central urban area can also expect an improved electricity supply as a result of the reduced load on the 35/10 kV “Grad” substation, which has operated under overload during peak season for many years.
