Ongoing Investment in Healthcare

The Montenegrin Electricity Distribution System continues to work towards improving the community and contributing to a better quality of life, as reflected in its ongoing investment in healthcare.

Today in Risan, a donation was presented to the Public Healthcare Institution “Vaso Ćuković” Special Hospital for Orthopaedics, Neurosurgery and Neurology, once again confirming the company’s commitment to social responsibility. The donation agreement was signed by Vladimir Čađenović, Director of the Montenegrin Electricity Distribution System, and Dr Vlado Popović, Director of the “Vaso Ćuković” Special Hospital for Orthopaedics, Neurosurgery and Neurology.

CEDIS allocated over EUR 8,000 for this donation to support the hospital in purchasing the necessary instruments for spinal surgery. The hospital itself was built thanks to a donation from one of the greatest benefactors in our region, Vaso Ćuković, after whom it is named.

– We are pleased to be able to help this important healthcare institution, which has been recognised for the expertise and quality of its services since its establishment, both in Montenegro and throughout the wider region. I am proud that CEDIS, as a socially responsible company, listens carefully to the needs of the community and, accordingly, stands by those who need support most, for the benefit of society as a whole. I would be glad if all socially responsible companies followed our example, thereby not only investing in healthcare but also keeping alive the memory of great benefactors such as Vaso Ćuković. I believe that the purchase of instruments for spinal surgery will make the work of doctors and medical staff easier and further improve the quality of hospital services. The Montenegrin Electricity Distribution System plans to continue with this type of project in the period ahead, and I sincerely hope this is just the beginning of a successful partnership. – said Vladimir Čađenović, Executive Director of CEDIS.

– First of all, on behalf of myself and all the staff of our hospital, I would like to thank CEDIS for this donation. In addition to the many activities we are carrying out to modernise the hospital, our limited financial resources prevent us from purchasing the necessary equipment, which is why we approached CEDIS on this occasion. By recognising our needs, as well as those of numerous healthcare institutions, CEDIS has established itself as one of the country’s most important companies, providing ongoing support to Montenegro’s healthcare system. Thanks to CEDIS’s donation and the purchase of this essential medical equipment, the Public Healthcare Institution “Vaso Ćuković” Special Hospital for Orthopaedics, Neurosurgery and Neurology will further modernise its approach to treatment and create conditions and an environment befitting its reputation and what the users of all our services deserve. – said Dr Vlado Popović, Director of the Public Healthcare Institution “Vaso Ćuković” Special Hospital for Orthopaedics, Neurosurgery and Neurology.

For six years now, the Montenegrin Electricity Distribution System has been helping to improve the community through projects in various fields, and this donation is just one of many for which it has allocated funds. We would like to note that since the beginning of this year alone, CEDIS has provided over EUR 40,000 in support to the healthcare system. In addition to this hospital, support has been provided to the Capital City Health Centre, the Association for Preventive Paediatrics of Montenegro, the Clinical Centre of Montenegro…
