Over one million euros for completed investments and maintenance in November

In November, users of the electricity distribution system consumed a total of 219,350,042 kWh of electricity, around 14 percent more than in October and at the same level as in November last year.

The largest share of electricity, almost 41 percent, was distributed to users in the areas of Podgorica, Danilovgrad and Cetinje (Region 2).

From the beginning of the year to the end of November, a total of 2,404,581,519 kWh of electricity was consumed, around four percent more than in the same period last year.

A total of 342,769 metering points were read in the previous month, or 90 percent of the total number (unread metering points are located in properties that are not permanently occupied). The reading rate for metering points equipped with new electronic meters is 99 percent.

In November, the Maintenance Sector teams carried out field interventions 1,984 times. The value of work on maintaining electricity facilities amounted to around 425 thousand euros.

Investment projects worth over 640 thousand euros were also completed during November. The reconstruction of 22 10/0.4 kV substations in Podgorica, Pljevlja and Cetinje was completed (282 thousand euros). In Pljevlja, work was completed on the construction of a 35 kV feeder line for the 35/10 kV “Odžaci” substation, improving the stability of electricity supply to part of the municipality’s rural area (69 thousand euros). Construction was also completed on the 10/0.4 kV “Radovče 3” substation in Podgorica and the “Košuta” substation in Cetinje. In Nikšić, work was completed on the construction of the 10/0.4 kV substation at Njegoševa Street, with a 10 kV underground feeder line (120 thousand euros), as well as the installation of modern equipment on the 10 kV “Duklo II” overhead line (100 thousand euros).

In the previous month, 513 power supply interruptions were announced across Montenegro due to planned network works. The average duration of the interruptions was around 2.45 hours. We remind users that planned works are carried out to improve the quality and reliability of the electricity supply, and users are informed of work schedules daily through the media, the website and the Facebook page.

During November, 1,520 new electronic meters were installed across Montenegro. The total number of metering points in Montenegro equipped with remotely operated electronic meters is around 268,000, covering approximately 70 percent of consumption.

In the previous month, 877 new users were connected to the distribution network.
